From 251b5567ecc8fb3d6debaa3f77f6ec2620877d36 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Richard van der Hoff <1389908+richvdh@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2022 13:06:04 +0000 Subject: Remove `log_function` and its uses (#11761) I've never found this terribly useful. I think it was added in the early days of Synapse, without much thought as to what would actually be useful to log, and has just been cargo-culted ever since. Rather, it tends to clutter up debug logs with useless information. --- synapse/storage/databases/main/events.py | 2 -- 1 file changed, 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'synapse/storage/databases') diff --git a/synapse/storage/databases/main/events.py b/synapse/storage/databases/main/events.py index de3b48524b..2be36a741a 100644 --- a/synapse/storage/databases/main/events.py +++ b/synapse/storage/databases/main/events.py @@ -39,7 +39,6 @@ from synapse.api.room_versions import RoomVersions from synapse.crypto.event_signing import compute_event_reference_hash from synapse.events import EventBase # noqa: F401 from synapse.events.snapshot import EventContext # noqa: F401 -from synapse.logging.utils import log_function from synapse.storage._base import db_to_json, make_in_list_sql_clause from synapse.storage.database import ( DatabasePool, @@ -328,7 +327,6 @@ class PersistEventsStore: return existing_prevs - @log_function def _persist_events_txn( self, txn: LoggingTransaction, -- cgit 1.4.1
