* Bump black from 22.12.0 to 23.1.0 (#15103)dependabot[bot]2023-02-221-1/+0
|
* Add final type hint to tests.unittest. (#15072)Patrick Cloke2023-02-141-1/+1
| | | | Adds a return type to HomeServerTestCase.make_homeserver and deal with any variables which are no longer Any.
* Require types in tests.storage. (#14646)Patrick Cloke2022-12-091-5/+10
| | | | Adds missing type hints to `tests.storage` package and does not allow untyped definitions.
* Async get event cache prep (#13242)Nick Mills-Barrett2022-07-151-1/+1
| | | | | Some experimental prep work to enable external event caching based on #9379 & #12955. Doesn't actually move the cache at all, just lays the groundwork for async implemented caches. Signed off by Nick @ Beeper (@Fizzadar)
* Reduce the amount of state we pull from the DB (#12811)Erik Johnston2022-06-061-2/+3
|
* Rename storage classes (#12913)Erik Johnston2022-05-311-4/+10
|
* Remove `HomeServer.get_datastore()` (#12031)Richard van der Hoff2022-02-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | The presence of this method was confusing, and mostly present for backwards compatibility. Let's get rid of it. Part of #11733
* Flatten the synapse.rest.client package (#10600)reivilibre2021-08-171-1/+1
|
* [pyupgrade] `tests/` (#10347)Jonathan de Jong2021-07-131-1/+1
|
* Remove redundant "coding: utf-8" lines (#9786)Jonathan de Jong2021-04-141-1/+0
| | | | | | | Part of #9744 Removes all redundant `# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-` lines from files, as python 3 automatically reads source code as utf-8 now. `Signed-off-by: Jonathan de Jong <jonathan@automatia.nl>`
* Add a basic test for purging rooms. (#9541)Patrick Cloke2021-03-081-26/+45
| | | | | Unfortunately this doesn't test re-joining the room since that requires having another homeserver to query over federation, which isn't easily doable in unit tests.
* Apply an IP range blacklist to push and key revocation requests. (#8821)Patrick Cloke2020-12-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Replaces the `federation_ip_range_blacklist` configuration setting with an `ip_range_blacklist` setting with wider scope. It now applies to: * Federation * Identity servers * Push notifications * Checking key validitity for third-party invite events The old `federation_ip_range_blacklist` setting is still honored if present, but with reduced scope (it only applies to federation and identity servers).
* Make token serializing/deserializing async (#8427)Erik Johnston2020-09-301-3/+6
| | | The idea is that in future tokens will encode a mapping of instance to position. However, we don't want to include the full instance name in the string representation, so instead we'll have a mapping between instance name and an immutable integer ID in the DB that we can use instead. We'll then do the lookup when we serialize/deserialize the token (we could alternatively pass around an `Instance` type that includes both the name and ID, but that turns out to be a lot more invasive).
* Various clean ups to room stream tokens. (#8423)Erik Johnston2020-09-291-6/+4

* Convert stream database to async/await. (#8074)Patrick Cloke2020-08-171-33/+16
|
* Convert storage layer to async/await. (#7963)Patrick Cloke2020-07-281-2/+6
